are you shitt'n me??????!!!!! yea it's one of the tallest but architecturally pretty darn plain...looks likes stacks of blocks! Petronas is what I call a masterpiece...same goes with Burj Dubai (under construction), Jin Mao, Taipei 101, Empire state, Chrysler building and few others that are far better in design than Sears...Sears is cool lookin but not the best lookin.

That's not what this poll is asking about though. This is about which is the most imposing, and from that list it is clear that Sears is at the top with 1450 ft (1700 ft with antennas), takes up an entire two city blocks, and 4.4 million sq. ft. of space.

You youngin's are too spoiled nowadays to appreciate a great design

In Toronto the CN Tower blows anything off the skyline. Definitely the most imposing there. BTW it is a skyscraper.

It is not a skyscraper. And even if it were it would not be the most imposing because it lacks any real bulk. Burj Dubai will be the tallest by a long long way, but it wont ever be the most impossing because of it's slender nature. As much as I dislike the building I'd have to say Sears. America skyscrapers in general are more impossing because they are not really decrotive. They are just huge blocks which gives a far more powerful image I feel.

The first tower that came to mind was Sears. Secondly, i would nominate Tuntex Sky Tower in Taiwan.

Taipei 101 because of its relative height, then Sears.

Have you ever been to Toronto? The CN tower just dwarfs everything, it makes our talls look like smalls. It's not like a pencil either, it has some bulk.

Nope, niether have I seen Sears. Or any building over 1000ft. I'm going on pictures.

But it is academic because CN tower is not a skyscraper.

I would say Sears out of the current top 10 list. It's black, boxy, tall as hell, and flat out looks mean.

However, if the Twins were still around, I woudl definitely vote for them. They were even meaner looking, and there was two of them! Even the expansive and sterile plaza added to the effect.
