He may have been referring to Phase III where 1 Million SF of world-class SEZ space is nearing completion. In fact, one block has already reached civil structural top-out and the first space will be available for fit-out as early as October 1st.

Technopark will also develop additional space on 50 acres of SEZ land at Technocity. Up to 3 Million SF is envisaged here, in a high-rise format similar to Phase III.

Dr Tharoor just needs to ensure that Technopark is allowed to operate independently and it will continue on its merry way because its growth story is backed by real demand, not projections. That is quite a premium these days in Indian real estate, lol.

Surpriced to know that our beloved MP Mr Sasi Tharoor dont even know the major development projects happening in his constituency.

Somebody should take initiative to let him know the Ongoing/Proposed projects in his constituency(Trivandrum orma undo entho, no idea).
In my openion TDF should present an updated presentation as they did when he was elected as our MP.. Otherwise we need to hear more bigger blunders

Sasi sir, trivadrum peoples including me proudly says that we got a world famous diplomat as our MP, we are not expecting these kind of blunders from a respected person like you. Plz don,t tarnish your great Image. Please do your homework and make sure that your uptodate.

Sad to see such a statement by the local MLA. I dont think he need development to come in the place . They just ignore as its given by other party..dnt know when these politicians will change....

The interesting fact is he called training center as IT school. What he expects TCS to do ..is he thinking microsoft or IBM will aquire this 80 acres ? TCS is the number one software company in INDIA and number one in employee count .

MA Vahid is very much for development - he was instrumental in smoothing out troubles during land acquisition for both Technopark and Technocity.
In the interview, we did not hear the question he was asked. The question he was asked could be "Should the Technocity Land be used to start IT schools?" - not global training campus. Now, this is a MLA with atleast 4 engineering colleges in his constituency. How would he reply?

Technocity is no longer part of his constituency. It used to be before 2011.

True. I dont think it will be easy for any govt to acquire land without the support of local MLA. The prob is not with MLA or MP or previous govt. .
The prob is the attitude of such media. In fact, they are against development.

Last week I saw a news reagrding technocity in NONOrama news channel, the reporter is saying like "some consultency companies are consulting how to develop technocity, and these consultency companies are now playing with the name of land survey , mean time camera focuses on Tata Consultency Services (TCS) Board placed in their land in Technocity."

On seeing this news, what a common think is that some consultency/Survey company is still doing something in tecnocity land in the name of Technocity development project. But the fact is that the above mentioned consutency company is a Software Consultancy company, India's No1 IT company TCS. News reporter never mentioned a word TCS in that report. I dont think that the reporter is Ignorent on this project, the channel is playing a well scripted drama (No need to mention for what purpose..heh)

like this thread, now we all mallus will start discussion about this one-time speech by local MLA and in turn will slow down the development of technocity. Kerala based medias are very much interested in these kind of news to fill-in thier papers.

We should remember what happened to kochi based Cybercity project by HDFC.

something is brewing. Stage is being set for that. On and off news about technocity is coming in the local news of the channel. This started before election and then subsided and now again warming up.
