Actually the big cable cars for Genting was still in operations if I am not mistaken. The last time I took was in 1999 when I had to take an emergency bus back down to KL

It is also very convenient to those staying at Awana as well as for bus operators as there are plenty of parking space there

Yes Szehoong is right, the Bukit Nenas cable car was operational in the 70s. Remember taking a ride in it. Whoops, I feel old!

Come and think of it .....I spend my teenage years at Sg. Wang, Lot 10, Starhill, Central Market, Cheras Leisure Mall, Jusco Cheras and The Mall

These are the malls I frequent

.......at that time there are so many Cathays as well as those gigantus Rex, Odeons, Pavillion and Cathay theatres

Seriously.....I still find Sg. Wang had more things for me to buy than Suria KLCC or Starhill (now). I usually spend a fortune there

Oh and as for TGV......I hardly go to any TGVs anymore as GSC theatres are so much better-maintained. Also their seat pitch is larger

I do not know when it was started and ended. I guess the location because I can see the shadow of Menara KL...

Hey you're damn right. GSC seats are much better padded. TGV reservations sux.

Yea....GSC reservation system is fast and efficient.

Unlike TGV's which some might argue that I could choose my seating.....well......can you believe it that just last week, I booked 3 movies at GSC and the slllooooowwww TGV site only completing one booking?

Terrible!

I used to go to KLCC's TGV but since BTS GSC opened 2 years back, I always go to BTS or Midvalley.

TGV's seats are not properly maintained and sometimes missing armrest and cupholders

I'm not sure bout KLites, but for north PJians like myself... before 1U it was Atria in DJ, but before there was an Atria in DJ, there were stores like Parkson (still there I guess), Kimisawa, etc etc... then last time there weren't any big complex in PJ like 1U lor... Last time in SS2 there was this Daya Supermarket, and also this Fajar Supermarket in DU... last time Damansara Uptown was only a big big unoccupied land stuck in the middle. 1U was the first BIG thing in PJ that started it all... look at that area today...!!

I also remember taking those LenSen buses to Kotaraya in KL back then. About 15 years back KL looked very terrible lar... the city has improved so much... the only thing that hasnt changed is the ugly Puduraya lor...

Apart from the places you've mentioned, I still remember Jaya/Cold Storage (still around) and Asia Jaya (now Plaza Lien Ho). 1U started it all. A year later we've got Sunway Pyramid and since then no turning back

Don't forget Pertama Complex, Campbell and Ampang Park. They were the uber hang out spot to go way back then.

You forgot Yow Chuan Plaza (now Plaza Ampang), Kotaraya, SinarKota (a.k.a. Metrojaya) and Wilayah Complex (was this complex ever popular?)

Of course no one could forget the night scenes at Sun Complex
