We need to get Denver back on board here...WAY too much happening in that wonderful city I used to (and will again) call home!
Here's a GREAT image of what the skyline will look like with the proposed projects on board (including Trump's). From denverinfill.com:

Yes kind of hard to tell which exist, and which are not built. Fortunately, I'm familiar with Denver and I know, but the average person would be hard-pressed to tell by this photo/rendering combo.
Good to see Denver is about to build downtown again. There really hasn't been anything of significant height there since the early 80's. And about DIA, it is a big airport mainly due to geography...an excellent connecting hub airport smack dab in the middle of the continent. United runs a huge hub there, but the airline industry is slowly changing some thinking on this and are increasing "point to point" flights with smaller, fuel-efficient planes. That could be bad news for some of the big hub cities. |

About the former Stapleton Airport, what should the control tower and parking garage be converted into?

Anything new going on in Denver? I used to live out there, and It always seemed like development never stood still for a second. I guess that's true anywhere on the front range, but anything new to report?

the spire and i think the 4 seasons residences started, there's a new tower going up on 16th and blake by the market street station, a new tower going up on 15th and wynkoop and another on wynkoop at the cherry creek trail. ritz-carlton is starting soon on 17th and lawrence (?), and as always there's more and more condos going up by the stadium. a new government complex is in the works on colfax right across from the denver mint, about 15 new buildings going up in the uptown/5 points neighborhoods. cap hill has a few smaller projects, mostly renovations. ummmmmmmmm, 2 20+ story condos going up around 20th and broadway. i can't keep track of them all....too many, those are just the ones i've noticed while riding my bike.
try to take some pictures this week. |

If you guys want a good breakdown of what is going on in Denver go to www.denverinfill.com.
SSP also has a very active Denver crowd, which is why there is very little tracking on SSC. The Denverites can only keep one forum active due to our numbers.

Depends on what boundaries you look at;
The business district and lower downtown area are probably in the 6-7,000 range currently. According to a recent New York Times article on development here. That number will likely rise to 9,500 in the next year or two. Downtown is bordered by some pretty dense neighborhoods; Capital Hill is somewhere in the range of 30,000. Central Platt, Curtis Park, Highlands, Golden Triangle, and Lincoln Park would add another 30,000 or so. |

UrbanSky, in my opinion it's a good idea to post them here but you should ask author of these photos to do this (Krzycho has taken them, so just go follow the link I posted and write on priva to Krzycho).

Tabor II
The new Tabor II renderings have been unveiled. The building will rise 630' and be 43 stories. Because the foundation is already constructed (it was built when the original Tabor Center was constructed), this structure could rise very quickly. With the current crop of skyscrapers under construction, Tabor II will be the 5th tallest in Denver
