I think Dubai is amazing, Not a world class city yet, but going in that direction. I just wonder how long will it be before those f%^ing extremist start bombing those beautiful buildings when they start seeing all those non arabs residents in them.

Maybe you donít know yet but all new building constructed in dubai must be able to resist bombs other wise they will not be granted a construction approval from dubai municipality.

Guys, lets not fight here. It took me 3 and a half hours to make this thread so if it gets locked I'll kick your asses .

BTW I added a few more JLT towers. I think imageshack doesn't make a thumbnail for you if the main pic takes up more memory than the thumbnail itsself

Just incredible!
This is development of historic proportions.
I am curious as to whether all these projects will come to fruition. I could be wrong but this does remind me of 1980s development hype but in mega sized portions. Could we see a sudden collapse and massive downscaling in a few years or is this actually going to be real? Its like megalithic Disneyland. Its a gigantic ''all you can eat'' restuarant. Its happy hour 24/7. Its...how much credit do I have left?

I think some of the bigger projects will be downscaled in the future. Namely, palm deira, dubai waterfront and airport city. Aswell some towers may be cancelled or reduced in height but that doesn't mean there won't still be plenty left

Out of all Dubai experts on this forum, you seem to be the most pessimistic, but still thanks for all your work for this thread.

I know Business Bay will be completed in 2015, but as far as Jabal Ali Airport City and Dubai Waterfront, I know only as much as you do. Many other projects will be finished earlier, within 5 years in many cases.

Dubai is opulence in the 21st century. It seems unreal at times. What the UAE is doing is incredible dude. I wish you luck and I hope your economy does not go down or something like that... it would be sad... very, very, sad.

I don't know but I think the airport city should be finished around 2025. I presume they'll start off with a small section and add more and more as they need it.

Where do all the people come from? Surely Dubai and the UAE doesn't such a big natural growth. It has to become one of the most international cities in the world in terms of population.

The idea is that people will want to live there when the projects are completed. I'm on of them .
