There are over 200 castles and over 550 palaces (and manor houses) in Poland. It's impossible to post the pictures of all of them Here you've got only a sample

Before WWII Poland had over 30.000 manors, now because of WWII destruction, border shifting (thousands of Polish manors are now in Lithuania, Belarus, Ukraine, northern Slovakia) Poland has only 1500 manors.

Has any country ever experienced such cultural devastation in a matter of 6 years ???

This one looks scary. Might be full of ghosts!

It's sad to see this former and potentially yet-again jewel in such a desolate state!

I hope it, too, will see its day of restoration, and soon!

Misiek, thank you again for keeping the supply of Polish castle photos rolling!

The interior shots are fabulous as well.

There're many palaces in Poland waiting for restoration. I hope one day all these palaces will be restored to its former glory

it's not really true because UNESCO pages said 14000 palaces, castles etc ... and they precise that in reality no one knows the exactly number of them so this number is approximately .... each year the list is bigger ....

1500 , maybe this number represent the proprietaries who want to put their own buildings on the list, but many aren't know even today ... and do not exist in road cartes but in reality yes ... my friend lives in one little ... he's resorting it and this one never figure on the touristic carte or other too ...

what happened ? : it burnt ... and now it is in restoration since this year only ...

the same history was with KLICZKOW and now look at photos here, it's gorgeous ...

the proprietors from Kilczkow buy others palaces and will transformed them into luxurious hotels too ... this Phenomenon is extraordinary because many others castles and palaces are restored or will be, and this makes Poland rich in architecture ... tourist is happy there because there is so many thing to see ...

many foreigners ( investors) are more and more interested by polish palaces and castles ... it's easy to guess why : because there are so many there ... and Poland is 12 country the most visited in the world so they can do money there ... and this destination has many to offer ... nature , architecture etc ...
