Allow me to say just one more thing.
The diagram is simply awesome
But I don't think that adding Lotte Tower in busan into the digram is a good idea.
Because I don't think Busan citizens want to race with other super-talls in the world. Maybe They just want the landmark for themsevels
and for the symbol of hope of getting out of dark tunnel in the name of economy depression over city
That's it

At such a scale, I don't think anyone will complain... Unless you try to sell it.

i think towers like SWFC,Union Sq,Lotte tower, taipei 101 are a generation of height above the 70's and 80's towers like sears and WTC ect, they were close to 400m in height while these latest are 500m in height, a full 20% taller. Burj Dubai is in a different catorgory altogether being nearly 50% taller then the super talls of the 70;s.
.
Complelty agree!

Cul, I'd leave out taipei 101 from the list. It needs a spire (which counts) to equal the rest. In reality it is not over 200 ft taller than Sears. Also, Lotte 2 is the tallest of the bunch (BD not included here) and it is 170 taller than Sears which is not to brag considering well over 30 years will pass before that building gets topped out.

Still they are a cut above the rest. BD is in its own category which redefines for me the term "supertall". It will be the only one to top CN.

I'm interested to know that what the real roof height of BD will be if it surpasses 800m as it is expected to.

Sean, Lotte 2 will be an awesome building and I hope some photos come out of Busan. It will be a building that the locals should be proud of.

Don´t forget Palacio de la Bahia in Panamá City (about 330 mts), will be the tallest building in Latin America; and Torrena in Guadalajara (336 mts.), México, will be the talest observation tower in latin america.

Check it with anoter tallets proyects of anoter countries of Latin America!

I think it would be great to have the NY Times Tower in the Construction Diagram though., It's such a fast growing tower with a height.

How can you leave out the worlds tallest building?? It deservedly has a place in this diagram spire or no spire. Lotte 2 seems to be pie in the sky, I've only ever seen photos of the site and am not at all convinced that such a massive building could be U/C with no one on this site managing to find or post photos of it! If anything deserves to be left out its this phantom project.

Great work Cul, the diagram looks fantastic. Kind of makes your Aussie diagrams look like ants.

This is going to be amazing if the diagram is updated when we get construction updates.

Will BD be counted as the WTB before it's complete? as construction goes on it will top Taipei 101, and CN Tower . . .

i dont mind putting in new projects such as Panama citys Palacio de la bahia and mexicos torrena tower, just as log as we get updates. The diagram becomes useless without regular updates.piling has also started on 558 Jakarta tower.

Larven, I didn't mean to take out Taipei 101 from Culwulla's diagram, it definitely belongs there. What I meant was in Cul's posting he mentioned a grouping of new-height buildings like US7, SWFC, Lotte2, which hit high 1500 ft to low 1600 ft range. Sears, WTC, and Taipei 101 are/were in high 1300 ft to mid 1400 ft range. Taipei 101 needs a spire to get as high as they brag it to be. I do not regard it as being 200 ft taller than Sears.

BD is in it's own realm.
