Atleast the tower is not trying to cheat for height... look at the roof. It's fantastic.

Great design. Finally a bold departure from the now boring spires, boxes, twisters, etcetera!

Looks like crumbled paper.
Also looks like it's gonna tip over, break at the thinnest part and collapse in the slightest breeze.

Perhaps you should read more carefully. It says 'titanium crystal', not 'titanium'. You obviously haven't done high-school chemistry yet or you would know that they are not the same thing. If you did a bit of research you would find out that titanium crystal is transparent, is often used in wine glasses, and is in fact the clearest, finest crystal glass available.

Not neccersarily. with decent dampers and other parts that allow the building to move with the earthquake far more structures are possible in earthquake zones, albiet at a heigher cost. But the U.A.E is not in an earthquake zone so it doesn't matter .

These renders are obviously not very realistic. And because of that they look way too 'fantasy' to be really good. But I have a feeling when actually built it could be stunning, and very unique which is always a good thing. It'll also push the bounderies a little more in what is structurally possible which is also good, I think alot of people are too scared to do that nowadays and it holds back development.

My only problem is that I'm really not fond of Gold, but I think I'm quite isolated in that feeling.

that is very dangerous, having the top thicker then the bottom can make it drop at any time, especially during construction, and even if theres a light earthquake it can do damage to it.

^ are you implying that you're smarter than the engineers who designed that? btw, this reminds me of the proposed (and now cancelled) Multifunction Centre Lahore.
