It means Wind tower, but arabified it to barajeel maybe from the word ''burj'' !

I don't remember seeing anything about this tower in the West Bay. Any idea where or when is it going to be built?

Wow, i'm having fun with google earth tonight

I hope it's clear, in front of City Center, behind Dolphin Tower, but on the right of W Hotel...it can not be accessed from the road though, that's why it can't easily be seen..

Its already rising last time I was in Qatar which is in the end of June.

This tower is too glassy. It should be more "heritage" style. At least make it look like a real Barjeel!

^ That's what I thought first. But, there WAS a proposal in Dubai for this tower to be built on SZR but maybe that is the one.

Guys, for those in Doha, can you check if this under construction (if the actual work has started.) Its supposed to finish in mid-2007 and be hotel apartments. Would appreciate it if your going to that area to snap a few pics!
