Greater Vancouver Fireworks Laws
Does anyone know the laws for where you can buy and light off fireworks in the lower mainland?
I heard some area's its legal and other its illegal and others you need a licence.
Whats the deal for...

It is now illegal to possess, sell or ignite Fireworks in Richmond. You can read about it further at their city website. I'm kind of 50/50 on it. The amount of damage and injuries every year from unsupervised lighting of fireworks is crazy.
About other jurisdictions I found some info from last week's Province.
'As Kent Spencer reported in Friday's Province, if you live in Abbotsford, Coquitlam, Langley, Mission, Richmond, Surrey, Maple Ridge or Pitt Meadows, you are banned from buying fireworks or setting them off without a special permit.
But if your home is in Burnaby, Delta, North Vancouver District or Vancouver, you can celebrate Halloween in your back yard with as big a fireworks display as you like without being hauled off to court.'
