Wow, Chongqing city crown plan is great

some photos about Chongqing plan(by 2020) show the Chongqing city crown, this crazy and amazing projects make up of 3 skyscrapers tallest one taller than 357m, even the shortest one over 300m. we can find many other skyscrapers around most of them near 200m.some one even over 350m, may be 5 years later, 1 sq.km Jiefangbei area has 5 buildings over 300m, more than 15 buildings over 200m, more than 50 buildings over 100m.

here is Chongqing Yuzhong peninsula now, the whole peninsula has more than 250 buildings over 100m, the tallest one is WTCC 62 floors 283.1m, Chongqing will has more and more high quality skyscraper in next 15 years. btw, for the whole city, chongqing must over 500 buildings over 100m.

there is a great difference between downtown and whole city. Jiefangbei area is about 1/500 of whole chongqing city area, even Yuzhong peninsula just about 1/25. there are many house use for resident and factories in other place. As a developing country, many Chinese cities are constructing skyscrapers in downtown.

the whole Chongqing is very big, in fact just 8 years old, 8 years ago, chongqing just 1/4 of now, there are three other cities join us, the population from 17 million to 31 million. The good thing is we have much more people and land, but the bad thing is most of us are poor man. In fact Chongqing has three parts metropolis area, West Yu area and Three gorges dam reservoir area. The development between metropolis and West Yu is very tiny(old Chongqing), but Three gorges dam reservoir area also has about ten poorest towns in China(8 years ago the number is 25). So gernerlly seapking, Chongqing is undevelopment area in China, but has one of most industrialization area and wonderful metropolis of China.

Here are some actual photos of Chongqing taken in 1895 by a Western visitor.

From across the Yangtze:

Dinner to village elders

Dinner with theatricals

The view from "little river"

Mountain view from the city

it's due to the different sediments carried by the water, maybe the type of soils that the left river carries is of a brown color and the one to the right probably carries a different type, maybe not hues of blue....
