One of the most recent shots shows that it's now just as tall as its neighbor, though it will surpass it next week.

Photos 12.17.2006

Some additional photos taken 12.17.2006. The building has now surpassed the Bell Atlantic Tower and will overtake Mellon Bank Center any day to become the city's third tallest building on it's way to number one. It appears as though all of the lower steel skeleton is complete including that of the lobby as well as the multi-story "winter garden." The glass is now beginning to rise on all sides.

Why are the sheets covering the exterior of the tower half way up? Good to see the cladding going up.

It very well may be. From my perspective it looked close but was hard to tell if it actually surpassed Mellon already.

Check out phillyskyline.com for great photos taken from within Comcast center. The photos were taken on 12.13.2006.

The way it's meant to be cladded

P.S. Though I'm not sure if such verb does actually exist...
