The Doha You Never See

Hello all,

For such a long time I've built a collection of pics of my lovely city Doha. I won't take pics from touristy websites or any such source. All these pics are either from some of my friends in flickr.com how share their pics in "Qatar Group" or are my pics.

Enjoy and comment !

A beatiful picture by "Al ajanabi" of Doha's changing Skyline. Its still young but growing it very fast !

The Al Zubarah Castle in Northern Qatar. Many wars have been waged for the right to rule this Castle. Today it stands as a reminder for the people who gave their lives to this blessed land. Thanks to "Al ajanabi."

A symbol of our culture stands on of the many beatifully decorated round-abouts of the Cornish. "Al ajanabi" did a good job capturing it !

As "Al ajanabi" puts it best, "the Corniche is always lovely but really has this surreal translucence at night."

Nothing than a nice quiet meal in this small resturant on the Corniche. I just admire the beatiful blue skies of Qatar. By yours truely !

Like I said, Doha has beatiful blue skies.

"Messy K" shows us some more of Qatar's beauties, Al Barzan Towers.

Guess what ?? This is the brand new Al-Barzan Tower, by "Messy K."

The pride of Qatar. More and more young Qataris are taking up motorsports profesionally. This is Losail Motorbike Team. A elite group singled from over 72 bikers. Today, Mishal Al-Naomi, who proved to be the best, is training in Spain to hopefully join the MotoGP. Thank you "Qatarbiker."

Go champ ! Al Noami competing in Spain.

Don't be shy, give him a kiss ! Thanks "Al ajanabi."

We also pride ourselves in our sports facilites. The grand stadium, Khalifa Stadium by "Moad3."

Orry ! Our Oryx Asian Games 2006 mascot. By moi !!

Its all about 4x4 fun and riding the waves !! "Ra3ni" talent.

As I said, its all about 4x4 fun !

"QTR" takes a snap of Qatar's future !! Its children.

what do u mean by "the doha u never seen"? u haven't brought up something new or unfamiliar, we're sick'n'tired of seeing this pics over & over, either in travel sites, gov info sites or postcards, regardless if the pic was taken by a professional or amature photographer.

by the way, who claimes that motorbikers are the proud of qatar? and when al nouami ever won a contest?

the problem with us in qatar is that we never heard of the virtue of modesty.
