High life they are setting up a sales center for 757 at Orleans and Superior. It looks like it should be open soon if it is not already. Pretty sure it is not yet. I'll keep you posted since I work like a block from the center.

On the subject of unkown devolopments...Does anyone know whats going in around Dearborn and Kinzie (I think) area. There are signs out front that say "Bovis Lend Lease" as the contractor and they were drilling foundation holes the other day...Or does anyone know if someone's already posted info on it here?

Something about the Dana Hotel

Located at the corner of Erie and State streets just west of Chicago's Magnificent Mile, the new Dana Hotel is a luxury property with 179 guestrooms on 26 floors. The hotel includes a full-service restaurant, spa/fitness component, conference facility, and a unique rooftop lounge with terrace seating areas. Anticipated to open spring 2008.

Interior architecture and design of 7,400 sf offices for law firm. Dramatic stairway connects offices with public amenities on the upper level. Located in the new Dana Hotel, also designed by ESA.

Another River North condo tower?

The Chicago Plan Commission last week approved a 21-story, 237-unit condo project that Miami's Lennar Corp. plans at 469 W. Huron. The City Council also must approve the project. [Alby Gallun]

Has this gone before the planning department yet?

I wonder does anyone have any projection of growth say from North to CHicago east of halsted....in terms of highriose and dense development......

also are there any composite rendering out there of this area w/ a vantage point from the west looking east......I would love to fill out that area roughly bounded by north and chiccago and halsted with highrise ( of say the 15 - 25 story variety or so) and midrise say 6-10 story development......

....what is that possibilty ? anyone out there in the know?

We talked about Staybridge somewhere on here like a year ago or something. It's an awesome building - but, I've never heard a single word about it outside of this forum and Emporis.

Contacted Sales center for Silver Tower (Franklin+Ohio) and they said that construction will begin by the end of October.

Im actually looking forward to this one as it is pretty slick lookin' and the all glass facade will help break up some of the brick and concrete monstrosities River North is known for.

^ I really hope they use highly reflective glass as in the rendering. I hate that opaque glass crap they've been using lately in garage podiums

The tallest buildings in River North are going up along the river. That brings up the following point.

The smallest of the non-historic buildings along the Main Branch is really starting to look like a shrimp. I am referring to the Westin River North, i.e., the former Hotel Nikko. When you consider the current and future giants around it, you have to wonder if someone will want to use that land for a taller building.

Remember that for a decade or so, developers drooled over Sun-Times site. Finally, a deal was struck. Could anyone with a big imagination be thinking the same thing about the Westin site?

Good News...110 West Superior is expecting to break ground by the end of November! The best aspect of this design is the fact that on street level it is very appealing with the all glass facade completely masking the parking structure podium...

I emailed Greg Eldridge of @properties who JFJ has designated the lead marketer for 110 W. so I think its a pretty good source, but he is in marketing so obviously I do not have anyway to confirm it 100% for sure but none the less its definetely in the pipeline. Also I saw they put up a link for "Costruction Updates" on the Opus110 website.
