Vueling has been moved from Terminal 2C to Terminal 2B and, in September/October, they will be moved to the new Terminal 1, together with One World Alliance.
SkyTeam alliance will be moved to the new Terminal 1 in December 2009.
Star Alliance is in Terminal 1 since T1 opened on June 16th, 2009.
All low cost airlines (except Vueling) will remain in Terminal 2.

I was curious to know if whether the train now stops in the new terminal, or if you still need to exit the building and cross the bridge to the station outside?

I was there yesterday and the Terminal is so Elegant and Modern. I just love the view from the large windows toward the city. So Beautiful.

The Perfect Airport.

The new terminal hasn't train station, nowadays a shuttle bus is making the service

I read that with the new Terminal 1 now open (which looks very impressive by the way), Barcelona's airport has a capacity of 55 million per year. If filled, this would put the airport in the top 10 in terms of the world's busiest airports, going by last years statistics. What are the chances of this happening over the next several years? Can Barcelona actually create demand (by offering great facilities) rather than respond to it (like London has to do)? It seems there is a lack of intercontinental flights; can they get some of those from Madrid or other South West Med cities? I'm guessing you don't spend billions of Euros like this without expecting to meet your targets!

It will be tough with the economic downturn.

Many people in Catalunya believe there is a market for Barcelona to act as a hub. The market is huge from Valencia to Southern France. With Iberia concentrating in Madrid it depends on other companies. Spanair could kickstart things.

Is there not a new metro line being built in Barcelona which ends up under the new airport terminal?
Any details, maps possibly anyone?

But if there were a fourth wing, the diagonal runway would have to be disassembled first. How about the control tower serves as the centre of the new satellite terminal?
