Impressive! A near-miss between two planes at Barcelona's airport in Spain has been caught on camera by an aviation enthusiast.

An UTair Boeing 767-300 (VQ-BSX) incoming from Moscow as UT5187 and Aerolíneas Argentinas Airbus A340-300 (LV-FPV) were involved into what could be the bigger disaster of Barcelona Airport.

Scary! I bet none of the passengers even knew about the danger

Not true. It is an optical effect from the zoom, both planes are separated by 2 km. or more.
Anyway, the Aerolineas Argentinas pilot could not cross the runway without the permission of the control tower.

From today, you can also discuss the following airports which also show up in many Barcelona tour guides:

- Girona-Costa Brava Airport (GRO)
- Reus Airport (REU)

Both airports receive a good amount of air traffic complementing Barcelona-El Prat International Airport, and those usually get to see low-cost carriers. This way, all major airports in the Catalonia region are under one roof, making discussions easier in relation to the rest of Spain.

Not a good idea...
BCN is one of the biggest airports in the world, and it is in the TOP 30 by number of passengers.
GRO and REU are small airports!

Easyjet A320-200, revised livery (reg. G-EZUA)

It looks like, in this scheme, the text is smaller and placed on the upper left location, conventional for many airlines.

Which company was the 747 in the 2nd picture? I assume it's a cargo plane...
