Both sounds cool!

Hmm, sure whatever replacing it must be something with nice height.

Redevelopment or just renovation?

Skybean,
That's a really nice one! The weather has been very clear the last days here actually! Today is the first day with a grey sky in quite a while (and I had prepared to take some skyline photos and make a construction update of Hanoi Rd. Project).

It's great to hear that you are visiting HK. If you get any clear days, I would consider yourself to be lucky. During my last visit, the skies only cleared on the day I left. . But a few years ago, there was very little smog at all - so everytime you would go to the Peak, there would be a clear view all the way to Kowloon.

First time? What are your impressions of the city? Any updates of anything would be appreciated!

I thought that this building had it's height shortened with the re-design. Was wonderign why it still says 275m on the title of the thread >.<

I think this building will turn out better than we think, especially the lighting at night.

Skybean,
No, it's not my first time in HK. I'm currently staying in an appartment in Yau Ma Tei/Jordan, on KLN.
And of course it's a lovely city for sure.

Small update. 18/5, 2006.

EDIT:
And a bonus pic, because of the nice weather we have today.

Did you enjoy the typhoon? I heard it missed HK right at the last minute, how fortunate.

Actually I was up in Shenzhen when it was at its "worst". But still, it was nothing - a little rain and a little wind. The typhoon warning was graded down to 1 last night.

Lucky, since I'm flying to Taipei tonight.

Nice pictures, a typhoon is always good for pictures in HK, it blows the smog away!

Can't wait for the scaffolding to be removed, it's like a present to be opened on completion.
