Saw it yesterday actually, it doesn't look half bad when the sun's glimmering off it.

It seems very big from Central, but due to its angling, it doesn't look so big from the Kowloon side along the Nathan Road corridor and those N-S streets in the area.

I don't like the wall like feel. Would've liked it more as two separate towers.

^Very interesting photo.
Beside the presence of the super-jumbo, the apparent continuity of the urban texture between Kowloon and the island is surprising.

I like the light tone of the facade, but I'm afraid that it'll darken fast in the humidity and the polluted air of HK.

Depends on the material used surely? The Peninsula and Jardine House have both done okay - it's mostly the residential estates which darken 'cos, I suppose, cheaper material is used.

I figured it was concrete, and, in that case, prone to bad weathering.

A view of the slender side of Hanoi Road Project during the Airbus380 flight on Sep 03rd, I estimate the viewer's height at 250m or a bit less.

I'm not really convinced of the height figure of 275m for Hotel Panorama, it doesn't look that tall to me compared with Sorrento and the Arch. Emporis and skyscraperpage.com still indicate this tower with 261m (also the Cullinan Twins in the back left receive with only 270m instead of 280m here).
Are the 275m confirmed?

No - I think it was confirmed the final height was lower. The Cullinan is reportedly also 269.9m, just no one's been bothered updating the thread titles.

Here's a pic I took today:
