Yea those things are making that effect. There is supposed to be a new proposal for a supertall near ICC though (as well as a couple of tall ones, including another one near Hanoi and a tall building near New World...so could be interesting.)

The link where Skybean got it from says "my view from the window at 3AM" ~ from the angle, it looks a bit wider than being taken from Causeway Bay (my initial thoughts were the Excelsior hotel) - it might be somewhere in Tin Hau or even western North Point.

There are talk about redevelopment of Ocean City and the New World Centre to build two super tall along the waterfront. Both have been approved by the Town Planning Board back in the old days; but it is certainly a big controversy for the public with super tall right at the water front these days. We will see how this goes.

But indeed, that's a good angle of Kowloon skyline.

【明報專訊】發展商繼續以貼近市價開售新盤。新世界發展(0017)今年重頭戲尖沙嘴河內道K11豪宅項目,去年曾計劃以遠高於市價的意向呎價約5萬元推售頂層巨無霸單位,但新世界代理執行董事何伍燕榆昨表示,河內道豪宅將以貼近市價開售,頂層設有面積約5000方呎特色戶,意向呎價近4萬元,即每個單位意向價2億元。

何伍燕榆稱,該盤現時仍待批滿意紙,預計最快下月底開售,分層標準單位面積由800方呎的1房單位,至面積約1200至1500方呎的2房及3房間隔,意向呎價維持在1.5萬至1.8萬元。她又稱,頂層特色戶面積將由3000至5000方呎不等,包括相連及複式戶;樓盤計劃稍後於內地進行路演,以便吸納內地富豪購買。

It's basically saying that they're aiming to sell the top apartment at HKD$40k per sq. ft.

edit: There should be more than one apartment on the top floor, with a 5000 sq ft area for each of them, equivalent to HKD$200 million (over USD$25 million) per flat.

She added that since the beginning of this year, the Group's sales volume than the same period last year, including tired group sold about 330 of the Long Alice Verde, as well as the newly created (0659) and landmark (0016) re-sale of the south bank of the Hung Hom waterfront has by now accumulated more than resale partners, of which the former has been the realization of about 8 billion, the average price of 3,100 yuan feet. She was referring to, where the New World Development property owners, tenants or Urban Property Management clients can purchase one percent Verde Erythroculter discount prices.

Basically, a 5,000 sq ft penthouse suite will be priced at about HK$200 million.
