PEK | Beijing Capital International Airport

These were some of the few airport terminal proposals submitted to the Beijing authority but were not chosen

Where did you get those pix from? The first 2 look like Richard Roger's proposal for the new Pudong terminal...
The fourth picture reminds me of KLIA. Is the roof pitched? Looks like a traditional Chinese pitched roof.

When is this airport to be finished? In time for the 2008 Olympics? They better rush if that's the case. I flew into Beijing in 1993, and remember it being very relic-y (mint green on the walls, uggh). This was when they were still scary commies, and not the capital-loving nation they are today. Is that the same airport?

So they've redone the inside of the "old" airport?

WOW!!!!!!!! That's awesome. So are they going to keep the old part of the airport as well or keep those terminals open along with the new one?
