its a service lane for all the ground support vehicles/equipment. it snakes around the terminal except for the entrance. a lot of airports have it.

What I like about all those chines projects is the beatyfull gardening around it.
All those big buildings are always part of a huge beatyfull landscaping....

Yeah, are they going to paint the interior columns?? Because it looks gray and boring right now.

Nice! Its modern yet very traditional Chinese feel, I guess the red columns and the orangy/brownish roofs makes the difference.

I like how Chinese airports don't like to put parking structures in the front but try to hide it either by single level or below level in this case, it makes the airport look more airy, grand and comfortable. Anyways Does anybody have a clue what they plan to do here? It looks like a giant plantation lol!

no I guess they will grow crops on it

still wondering why they waste that space since I haven't seen a parking lot building for T3. They need big parking space for such a hugh terminal.

If you look below that IS the parking structure, but don't have a clue what the top is for.

The water is a nice thing, but it'll cost more to maintain it I think. During summers Beijing is also very hot thus they'll have to refill it daily and the threat of sandstorms will make it unappealing.

Perhaps they'll put in a fountain temporarily just for the Olympics to impress visitors. They could always put a fountain inside the terminal...
