Eh. . . Have you seen the parking structure? Its huge. You see that oval shape with grass above it the thing below the train station that entire structure is a parking lot with two levels. Besides public transportations are available.

The Chinese don't usually drive cars to the airport and park there. The current parking lot at Beijing Capital International is more like the one of a medium sized shopping center, and even that doesn't get filled.

The new parking structure will be more than enough for Beijing, and don't let the relatively flat terran around the airport fool you, that is one huge parking lot. The fact that it is not visually imposing only makes the design of this airport more visually imposing.

On top of that, the Beijing government is trying to discourage the usage of personal cars; why would they build spaces to accomadate them.

China's public transit is very effecient anyways.

LOL! Thats too much negativity. I am hoping that security will also be one of the important factors in this very huge terminal especially on the days of the Olympics. It's a new airport so they need to find any flaws that may lead to an easy illegal entry for the terrorists. I will be there with my wife and children next year and I'm just concern about it. (I hope we will arrive in the New Terminal )

Actually I would be more concerned about flight delays and lost baggages that all new airports usually suffer from.

Thats OK. That means we can check the whole massive terminal and ride the terminal train just like the way we did in Atlanta (Atlanta is boring though). We are going to bring few things though (maybe an empty luggage or hand carries ). We are just going to take advantage of the cheap shopping goods of Beijing.

Ehh. . .terrorist is actually the least of China's concern since she has good relations with the Arab/Muslim world. You know China doesnt stick its nose in others country's business and tell how others should live.

Yeah but the representatives of all other countries will be here plus the fans and tourists. Remember the 1972 Munich Olympics?

A picture of a Japanese vending machine where you can buy the soiled underwear of little girls would be more apropos.

Looks about 2/3 to 1/2 the length of HK Airport's people mover.

@ herenthere

See what I mean...

This is THE LARGEST AIR TERMINAL COMPLEX IN THE WORLD...it deserves a larger people-mover.
