is the new control tower the new main control tower? or will it just serve as a back-up tower?

no I don't believe it is a apron tower. Should be the main air traffic control.

Hmm. The Alphabet Aisle signs are the same as those of Hong Kong! I don't think blue matches the airport since the color is red. They should've made it either dark grey, black or red but blue? Hmmm. . . .

The new Terminal 3 project will handle 65,000,000 passengers per annum. The Beijing Capital Airport has already handeled 40,000,000 passengers with its two existing terminals.

Well since HKIA and BCIA were both designed by Foster + Partners, it would make sense to use the same signs since it worked so well for HKG. They even skipped the letter "I" again!

Preventing stupid passengers from getting confused. L and I can look quite similar depending on the font used.

Of course not. If its open for public those ugly flags on the inside would be the first thing gone, and people won't have to wear hard hats. I think those are just people who play a role in the airport, or its future operations.

I am simply glad that there are colours in this airport unlike most airports are simply gray or white.

I agree on that part about airport colors, but I was referring to the Aisle signs.
