On the huge map, what do the "Phase One in 2015", "Phase Two in 2020" mean? Isn't the entire airport finished?

herenthere, I remembered reading something a while ago about how Beijing had to build the rest of the airport (which was originally supposed to be constructed at later dates to keep up with demand) in order to meet the unexpected new amount of air travel passengers passing through Beijing Capital. So those parts were meant to be built in 2015 and so on, but it ended up with them needing them now.

Apparently this new terminal will hit capacity within 5 or 6 years, and Beijing will need another huge airport.

^Wow! I think Beijing's T3 is more beautiful than Hong Kong's! Simply the most beautiful airport in China, Asia, and probably in the world!
What amaze me also is the fact that many Asian countries: Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, China, etc. have built world class airports in the last decades.

I sure it cost WAY more to park at T3, some airline want to keep ticket price low for little longer.

Wow this airport looks WAY better at night than during the day. Gotta see the updated daylight interior pics before judging the overall look of this airport.

that is it for the moment.

I believe T3 is very alliance-oriented, that's why I'm seeing all star alliance (UA being part of it) and Oneword members in it.

Besides it may not be feasible to pull all international flights within the same terminal because that will make international to domestic transfers a painful experience (currently the underground connection between the 3 terminals is not completed yet, and T3 is really far away from T1 or T2).

grease period, you don't want everyone in there at once. Alliance members are more resistant to start up hickups owing to the relative ease of communication. Independant airlines will only augment the mess if there happens to be one.

For someone that has posted 406 times, should Cidade_Branca know to look for a thread before just opening up a new one?

It is said T3 is for the Star Alliance members and T2 for the Sky Team. Don't know which for the One World, maybe T3.
