is the small satellite terminal between the two Y-shaped main Terminals of T3 already finished?
It was started much later then the two Y-shaped buildings.
Initially, they even wanted to build it much later.

First they planned to build it after 2008, then they changed thier mind to build it to serve the Olympic teams and staff exclusively during the Olympics.

Terminal 3 will be home to both Star Alliance and Oneworld. Terminal 2 will be Skyteam and non-aligned airlines. Terminal 1 will be for Grand China Airlines.

Well, at least, that's what wikipedia says and what the list of airlines in T3 confirms.

why did Skyteam get shorter end of the stick ? T_T

CZ is the best Chinese airline, wayyy better than CA and the piece-of-shit that is MU. MU should just be bought already.

Beijing is splitting the airlines roughly based on alliance not specifically by alliance.

T3 gets Air China, Hainan Airlines (international), all Star Alliance and most Oneworld carriers. S7, El Al, Turkish, Air Macau are oddballs in T3.

T2 gets China Eastern(international), Skyteam and the other non-aligned airlines.

You can't squeeze all airlines into T3 you know.

Only Mainland airline truly benefiting from T3 fully is Air China.

Hate to jump on you dude, but it's not like it's all that hard to find. It is a pretty big project, and it wasn't that far back on the forum(last post had been just a few days ago).

On the other hand, a topic title like "The largest terminal... blabla" is hardly descriptive.

One thing good about T3 are the wider varieties for food and facilities compared to Shanghai Pudong

Well, the way the hubs are set up throughout China, China Southern's gateway is Guangzhou, China Eastern's gateway is Shanghai, and Air China's gateway is Beijing.

There was a major re-alignment of the airline groups in China back in the 90s, and the result was 3 primary carriers (Air China, China Eastern, and China Southern). While there are other small carriers, the big players are the 3 key airlines.

Are here any pics available, that show the new terminal with aircrafts at the Tarmac?
Maybe even aeril pics of the Terminal?

Do you know how many aircrafts docked there at one time during peak hours?
