the more i look at it, compared to some of the new airports coming up in India, this airport looks rather bland and lifeless. It looks like someone tried to build a large(a rather large) cowshed.

It's not your fault. The airport is just bland...even when it looks so big...everything looks the same and kinda skimpy.

by far the best airport in the world. gigantic, yet elegant. most modern and technilogically advanced too- automatic electrically-operated terminal elevators and electrically doors that only airport staff can open by fingerprint ID. with the addition of the most advanced and fastest high speed rail system in the world and a boatload of other ultramodern airports, anyone who says India's anywhere near China is F_ING RETARDED

That is one awsome looking terminal. Too bad American airports will never get that good looking. What happen to the old terminal?

Terminal 1 is still running, for Hainan Airlines domestic flights.

Terminal 2 is also still running, for Hainan Airlines international flights, China Southern, China Eastern, and foreign airlines not using Terminal 3.

Hard to believe that they are already preparing to build another large airport for Beijing.

i doubt you know what your talking about. No one is comparing anyone to anyone. But I understand little people have a tendency to start a fight without a lot of knowledge. Anyway..since you started it, let me end it for you: Indian airports are way better than this piece of crap(waste of money with no taste or class..looks like a giant Walmart...lmao)

Peace out from HK

Exterior design of this airport is very elegant. Together with its immense size, it is really an impressive building.

by the way, we should have a thread about this airport already, why dont merge them?

This is one terminal I've had the real pleasure of going through. The design is simply perfect!

I don't like when they push the waiting area back from the window like this, it's harder for passengers to look out on the runway. What is the bottom level for, arrivals? It looks completely empty and boring. Is this typical of all PEK's T3 gates?

But the windows are gigantic! How could you have problems looking out?

I was at PEK early this year, but was unlucky and flew KLM

T3 is a beauty, but I personally prefer Hongqiao T2.

Don't think so :

The lounge goes right to the glass and so does the gate entrance.
