Isn't this thread about Beijing T3? Why are there a bunch of stuff related to Bangkok posted here?

LOLZ! Its the size comparison because Beijing's T3 is suppose to be the world's largest terminal after its completion.

This terminal already looks big, although taken away from the runway.

I was in Beijing 3 weeks ago and I could tell I was impressed even with the current Terminal 2. Not very big but very modern and quite nice - a bit like the US airport style. As for T3, it was huge and I can't wait to see it open soon.

Seems like this airport will really have a red roof, very unusual.

Looks very impressive.
No, it is because there is so much pressure on the current Beijing terminals, so expansion is necessary even without Olympics

Here's a bigger pic of one of the originals above:

And a closeup of the roof structure under a 777:

I LOVE the yellow and red colors of this terminal! Perfect for Beijing!

^ HT5's overall form is dictated by the shape of the site. However Richard Rogers' buildings tend to be more creative than Foster's. Look at Rogers's Madrid Barajas Airport or London's Millennium Dome for example. HT5 is also stacked up several stories high but in places the upper floors are cut away reveleaing stunning floor to ceiling heights and great views from the upper storey "balconies". I also love the gentle single-arched roof spanning over a single space measuring 400m long and 175m wide. It echoes the great London railway stations.
