one of the biggest aquaries in the world going to build in Eilat,South Israel
AQUARIA", as it is known, is an expansion of Eilat's downtown core, adjoining over 25,000 existing hotel rooms and vacation units in Eilat and the Red Sea resort cities of Aqaba and Taba. The project includes theme park rides and attractions, a water park, and a championship golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones II.

Hmm... in area prob the Thames Gateway - virtually a new city plonked onto the less affluent side of London (makes me laugh as with all these global warming stuff they are still planning placing hundreds of thousands of people on flood plains!)

London Olympic Park...cant wait to see the finalised designs for the park and venues and nice to see that our more zany architects will actually be building on home turf

CHILE

Bicentanary Bridge of Chiloe

The main work corresponds to a suspension bridge of double space (with a column in the centre) of 2.6 km length, compound of 2 lanes for each direction and a speed limit of 100 km/h.
The Bicentenary Bridge will be the biggest suspension bridge of South América and will be among the 10 biggest of the world, as it will have a principal distance between the columns of 1,100 m on its northern side (the world’s biggest bridge is the “Akashi Kaikyo” with a principal distance of 1,991 m).

To have a reference of the size of this mega-work, the height of the future bridge’s towers will be of 180 m
The total length of the new road, including the bridge, is of approximately 16.4 km.

It is important to show that the Bicentenary Bridge, with an investment of US$410 million Dollar and a social profit of more than 20%, is an emblematic project for Chile and of historical value for the 10th Region, where the majority of the inhabitants have supported this viaduct construction.

In Panama, there a are various greats projects, as:

I. Skyscrapers with more than 300 meters of height:

1) Ice Tower (102 storeys, ~ 350 meters of height)
2) Palacio de La Bahía (93 storeys, ~ 346 meters of height)
3) Planterium Tower (82 storeys, 300 meters of height)

And there is at least 8 projects u/c above the 225 meters...

II. The Museum Of Biodiversity (kind of Guggenheim), designed by Frank Ghery.

III. The Pacific Side Mega-Port!

And there is a lot greats projects related with infraestructure, urban development, highways, airports, etc...

BUT THE REAL BIG PROJECT OF PANAMA!!!

Will be, with no doubt

THE EXPANSION OF PANAMA CANAL!!!! This will be one of the biggest projects in the world... Will be as MEGA-PROJECT as it was to build the original Panama Canal...

The cost? Will aproximately close to 8 or 9 000 000 000 dollars..

The World needs a new Panama Canal!!
