OKC should be competing with a different crowd, not the third tier. OKC should at least be the same as New Orleans's skyline.
So you think OKC is a tier Two city? I think OKC is almost there! OKC's population maybe equal to or greater than all those cities, but N.O. and SLC are a step ahead! SLC has an airport that is a hub,and the city is an Olympic city, and The mountains are there for tourism! New Orleans has One of the busiest ports around, a tourism industry that is 5 fold of that from OKC's,but I can see where you are coming from as well!

unfortunately, oklahoma city has to compete with skylines of cities like dallas, st. louis, pittsburgh, and other large cities (typically ones that have professional sports teams), and i think that oklahoma city is not quite at their level yet, as a city. the skyline, when compared to other large cities, is pretty nice, and i give it a 7.5. okc is doing a god job trying to get over the hump and become a first-rate us city.
since you posted this a few years ago,What do you think now with The NBA in town and The Devon Tower being built?

Panorama from the top of the Bricktown Parking Garage. From Downtown to the west, to the Health Science Center and the State Capitol dome in the Northeast.

LOLS! You two are funny. Oklahoma City has an average skyline, then again it is a mid-size American city that is landlocked. With the new skyscraper being built, I hope more skyscrapers will come soon. For now, I give it a modest 6.5/10. I'll probably give it higher than that by the time Devon Headquarters finish construction

Nothing special for now. But when Devon HQ is finished watch out. Hopefully it'll start a lot more vertical construction.

Devon is really going to change OKC's skyline. OKC looks like a sleeping city for now, but when Devon finishes, I hope more highrises and vertical buildings will be constructed

Some developers from Houston just recently bought up The old Ford dealership lot in downtown and plan to build a mix use building and whenever The new convention center is built I would expect a highrise hotel also!I hope The Devon tower spurs more vertical development!
