Given the metro isn't all that huge, I think the skyline is pretty nice. The new tower really adds a good deal of flair. Given this, I would say 8.5/10.

Absolutely lovely city. What I can't understand is that many of the people who comment here are under the false impression that a city MUST have skyscrapers?!? Of course that is absolutely absurd. First of all you cannot compare cities from country to country..sometimes in a large country such as the US, you can't even compare within..but rather regionally. Skyscrapers are built when there is demand...and when there is, supply is plentiful. What many of you don't realize is that cities also grow in other satellite centers within a metro area. This is very true in the case of a city who had been stomped on for many years because of its lack of a dense downtown full of skyscrapers. Even looking at it now, many still are not impressed but they never consider that the city is so spread that it is only natural to have other centers as well. The same can apply to OKC which by the way is the largest city [city limits] at 620 square miles or 1608 square kilometers. Decentralization has changed the face of the North American city and not only. When looking at OKC you must look at not in terms of population rank, but rather regional rank/importance. Just because it has the numbers doesn't mean that every company is running there and wants to build their headquarters there etc. Within the US it is the 44th largest metro area...so to make a point, I will compare it with Calgary, AB with a population similarly at 1.3 million people...and its skyline being "quite" impressive to say the least. Yet comparing Calgary and OKC we see that they are both the largest city in their state/province, one is also the capital [Edmonton is Alberta's]. So with the "logic" found in these threads that means OKC MUST have the same skyscrapers as Calgary? Uh, NO! Calgary ranks as Alberta's largest city, Canada's 3rd largest city [city limits only] and Canada's 5th largest city [metro]. Calgary's regional, national and international importance is far greater than OKC's. Thus, it is important not to jump the gun and rank cities with artificial criteria. Rather, you should use other criteria and globally use continental and global importance etc. But Alpha Cities doesn't mean they are full of 1000 foot skyscrapers. If that was the case, London's skyline with its limited number of skyscrapers for a city of 14 million I think? Cities should be ranked on the quality of building, the quality of living there, visiting it, having to go to the hospital and getting care etc. The one thing I liked about OKC was the abundance of green spaces. Trees were liberally planted throughout the area with the exception of the central core in some places. They could be warehouse areas etc. I don't know. What I liked was the fact that there were many pictures depicting well manicured streets and gardens. I liked the fact that it was quite clean etc. Now, if the crime rate was lower as there is a significant drug and gang problem in the area too, if the city was "safe" to walk in, to take that stroll down those nice streets and go down to the center by the river and see the new buildings and the impressive night lights...it would get a top grade. Overall, the city looked very nice.

Just found this thread and thought I'd give it a bump! I give OKC an 8.5/10.

Awesome image of Oklahoma City (looking southwest) with the Oklahoma Health Center in the foreground; Bricktown, Deep Deuce, and Downtown in the middle-ground; and Will Rogers World Airport in the background.

Devon took this skyline from a 6/10 to at least a 7.5/10.
