Great skyline. How soon would this skyline become one with Ortigas, Mandaluyong, Fort Bonifacio, Quezon City and Manila?? Wonder why is M.Manila splintered into at least five different skylines when it has been unified as one city led by a governor since the Marcos years? Bangkok, New York, Miami, Istanbul and other major metro areas around the world are separated by rivers, huge parks and low lying suburban areas yet they are considered as one skyline? Why is Manila such an exception? Is there a third world factor involved? Otherwise, Manila would emerged strongly bypassing a lot of cities in advanced countries? I can't comprehend that Alabang is a separate Philippines skyline when it is in fact a part of Metro Manila. The skyscrapers of Binondo are not even mentioned in Manila. Is there a need for strong advocacy here in this forum?

what pic and why?
anyways, if Fort Bonifacio gets more scrapers, it might join up with the makati skyline to create a bigger skyline with residentials between the two skylines..

Yeah, once BGC gets developed with lots of skyscrapers, Makati and BGC will become one BIG awesome skyline (of course, there will be a small gap between them because of EDSA highway) |

@skylinepigeon, Petron Megaplaza is visible in that picture queetz posted, it just the picture isn't very high-res. Petron Megaplaza is to the far left, and it has a red sign in the top

binondo should have more buildings too. since there are lotsa chinese folks there, i can see a binondo business district that is comparable to singapore and hongkong. really. no joke.
with a cleaner pasig river (in the future), a picturesque bay and a romantically, historically, low intramuros (on the other side), binondo will surely be a top spot (watch out makati!) but then, there's nothing much in there yet. and makati still rules. i just keep on adding makati because i think the post is misplaced. well nuff said about chinatown. makati deserves a 10.00/10.00. |
