Australias best known skyscraper

Hi all,
Just interested in your opinion on what is the best known australian skyscrapers around the world. Which scraper do you most recognise as Australia and why? Personally I think it is Rialto towers but am interested in your opinion.

This should really be a poll with Austrlia Square, Rialto and a few others. (Sydney Tower is not a skyscraper under any definition of the word skyscraper :-). Also it is too soon to include Eureka and Q1 becausethey would be the most well known on this forum because everybody is following their constructuion at the moment.

I think this probably isn't the ideal place to find out the most well known scraper because a lot of people here would know about aussie scrapers since we're all tower fanatics.

I think most people here will either say Eureka or Q1, as they're not only the tallest but in construction right now so the focus is directed on them.
I would doubt anyone else in the world will have any clue of their existance. In fact I dont think anyone in Sydney knows of Eureka yet outside of architecture buffs, maybe some know of Q1 because of its extreme height among the lower scrapers of the tourist dominated gold coast.

Sydney tower should be counted as as skyscraper, and if it is, well then there has to be no argument that this is Australia's best known skyscraper.

If it doesn't count, well then it has to be either Australia Square, MLC, Rialto or World Tower.

Hmm, I would say Sydney Tower if u considered that as skyscraper., Gov.Phillips also seems tobe quite famous., same with Rialto Tower.

Before I got into skyscrapers, I simply couldnt identify any Australian skycraper...the Opera House is just too dominant, and when I went to Sydney, I remembered the Sydney Tower clearly.

I'd say Grollo Tower, although this one hasn't been built.
