There's just too many landmarks around the world and most of them are famous.

As with Disneyland. Every continent has one except Africa, Oceana, South America and of course Antartica.

I doubt Disneyland can even make it to the most famous landmark in the cities where they're located. Has Disney made such a large influence in Paris, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and LA? Maybe in Orlando, but I don't think Disney can triumph over the Eiffel Tower or Victoria Harbour any time soon.

Of course Disney has a large influence in LA not just the theme park but also it's entertainment industry. Disneyland is one of the reasons people travel to LA / Orange County

So are you saying Disneyland defines LA much like the Eiffel Tower represents Paris and the Statue of Liberty represents New York?

So, apart from the fact that Disneyland does not exist in 4/7 continents, i.e., 57%, it exists in 'every' continent...?

The pyramids are the most famous landmark ever for the simple reason that they have been amazing people for 4000 years... Alexander the Great was amazed by them... Julius Cesar was amazed by them, Napoleon was amazed by them...
TRUE.. very true.. but I vote for the eiffel tower..

I was about to say that! There are 2 in NA, 2 in Asia, and 1 in Europe...

St. Basil's Cathedral deserves a mention, one would have to look hard to find someone who doesen't recognise it as a Russian landmark.

I'd say some of the London landmarks are more famous than St. Basil's Cathedral.
