The Springs, Lahore

THE SPRINGS
COMMING SOON
- It looks like these 2 images havnt been stuck togeher properly, but you get
a good impression what it would look like. It would have a 18 hole golf course
and many high rise apartment towers. the oval shape will be a huge market
and it would have a big high rise tower in the center, unfortunatly it was
nestled between the pages when i scaned it and never came out. The tower
is very moderen and unique looking and looks like one of those big silver pipes on factories.

Good update Pakboy. I believe those highrises are being built by Bahria Emirates. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I like the concept but what I noticed about Pakistan's projects is that all the mid-rise towers they build are of the same design, so you have 20 towers for example which are similar.

There are a few developments like that in Florida. You would think that with all the green space they would be great for children. But unless you are golfing or wearing a collared shirt, you usually get kicked off. I don't know how many times I got kicked off the golf course near my house when I was a kid. Thats the only thing I have against golf communities. It is a massive personification of the old guy with the 'keep off the grass' sign on his front lawn.

^Its a novelty in Pakistan.. A lot of what Americans have been taking for granted for years.. Although some of the houses and lofts are really beautiful... Standard of Living is also very good.

Looks nice, but let us see if it gets build.

Furthermore, developments in Pakistan have a tendency of looking nicer in the planning stages than they actually are.

Your talking about petty little developments where builders barely have cash to build something world class.

But if you think Bahria Group is going to build something uglay, then your in for a big surprise. Almost every project in Pakistan is being built, what we need is Pakistanis in Pakistan on this forum who could go and take pictures and get updates from the project site.

Anyhoo, check out the Bahria thread, should be a wake up call for you.
