This tower is sooooo cool! I really like it a lot. It really fits into the skyline.

This is so typical of SSC, with all its love for height and little knowledge or care about real architecture, but can we maybe see the base of the building/ podium or lack thereof?

Thanks,

Yea, well, with all of the crap that is going up nowadays, this is definitely something special and different.

No,no, but you missed the point, we want to see the base, and what it's like from a normal person walking/driving by's perspective.

thryve mate it's really tough to take photos of both the podium and tower unless you stand right in front of it because it's blocked off from most angles by other buildings. Here's one from a couple of months ago but as you can see it's difficult to capture the tower and podium in the one shot. Besides the podium's nothing to crow about, pretty disappointing really..

Read back through the thread and you'll find plenty of photos with podium in them. It doesn't feature much in construction update photos lately as it hasn't had much in the way of construction or updates for a long time.

More shots concentrating on the "update" theme...

No matter from which angle you take a photo of this building it's always a masterpiece!

Thanks for the updates

I won't be fully completed until probably August this year, maybe a bit later (in terms of internal fitout and observation deck opening). As far as external completion, they were hoping to have all the cladding and such done by the Commonwealth games in March, that still may be possible but I'm guessing sometime in April/ May we will have a fully glassed tower.

I'm opposed to the spire, for it's looks, but i want the open air walk thingy. If the spire were invisible it would be good :p

EDIT:
