Speke / Garston Projects Thread

Couldn't find an up to date thread for this area so thought we could use this one. I was around Garston today and noticed that work is progressing, albeit slowly on the Bellway development on the site of the old bus depot. The foundations now appear to be complete, with the first few courses of bricks now in place. From what I could tell the building will be in the middle of the site, presumably to allow for car parking and / or greenery around the edge.

Also the new PC World on Horrocks Avenue has now opned, looking very modern, and a whole lot better than that rusting steel structure that was there for most of the last decade.

I live in south allerton right next to garston, the liverpool south parkway train/bus station is coming along nicely. It appears virgins trains wont stop at it though which seems a shame as it would be an ideal link up place for the rest of south liverpools transport system.

Its all go in Garston, Redrow have started that nice housing development too:

The PC World site looks good and much better than the big climbing frame that was left.

The Old Garston Baths has seen some action too as well as the old buss station.
