Blimey! The cladding's racing up!

Yes very weird weather today: not a breath of wind and an eerie chilly fog. I presume these are the sort of conditions that used to give rise to 'Pea Soupers' in the 1950's?

No. It rarely snows in London (ie: once or twice a year), and almost never in December.

The maximum temperature today in SE England was 10.1°C at St Catherines Point.

It looks like its snowed in that webcam pic, but its just a trick of the eerie light. This sort of still Winter foggy weather seems to leach the colour out of everything and turn the whole world black & white.

I don't recall snow laying for more than 24 hours in London for well over 10 years... I think 1991 was the last serious cold spell with several days of laying snow.

we don't know what it was like in Liverpool yesterday, saying you could see 100ft in front of you would be a strech too far, no pun intended of course

This was a render posted in the UK forum by Danger Mouse. Quite impressive I think you'll agree.

Last week, The London Paper (freesheet) had a double-page picture of the 'City to be' with 51 Lime Street plus the Bishopsgate Tower, Walkie Talkie, etc but all I can find from their website is a tiny version of the picture.

There is a huge pic of that render somewhere on the UK forums, it's been out for months.

Edit: Found a bigger cut down version of it (Willis is to the right)

I read Estates Gazette a couple of months back and they posted a would be shot of London's skyline if it had China's tall friendly building policy. It looked like the shot above from that exact same angle only more scattered and clustered with lots of supertalls nearing at least 350-400, no bishopsgate in that shot too. Does anyone have that picture?
