I've been following this building for some time and to be honest was never really impressed by it. Then I was in Chicago in early June for the Blues Festival and it blew (no pun intended) me away. Couldn't take my eyes off it. Some buildings you just have to see in person. The view from Grant Park about an hour before sunset with the sunlight bouncing off the building was just spectacular. Now I can't wait to see the three other buildings done.

Wow, u know it is an outstanding quality building when they clad an exterior concrete wall (core) with glazing. Beautiful!

They should rename this one to Burj Chicago, the facade and shape remind me much to Burj dubai.

A great thing about this project is the curtain wall system they are applying to the southwest portion of the elevator core. Most developers would just paint it for cheap but this is going to extentd the full height at a great cost. This will give the south and west views of the building an added bonus!

Notice that there are very few photos of the building from the sw???

This is a great project with beautiful buildings - and they've gone up so fast!

I hope that vision of a southward expansion happens - probably not with this real estate market, but hopefully within 10 years.
