Awesome blend of Old and New...I wish the trees were a little more mature to help give the neighborhood a bit more character

How tall will those trees eventually grow to? I estimate 40-60 ft. That's roughly 20 meters for all of you square Europeans out there. I love the boldness of the red as well. It's like something I've never seen before.

I have no idea, I would imagine 40-60ft. sounds realistic.

It seems like OMPW is now under construction (or has been for a few days).

Just west of this site (to the right in the rendering) there will be an 80-story proposal.

Spyguy,

Well I went over to the site for lunch. They are driving sheet pile not cassions so - sorry if I jumped the gun. Your call on whether this is U/C. But it's close.

My bad.

^That's OK. It's bound to be under construction soon anyway, or at least I hope.

From the Sears Tower:

I say this a lot, but now you can really see the change in the South Loop over the past few years with a lot of projects coming to fruition.

OMP looks massive already, even though it's only about 1/3 of the way up.

South Loop has lots of potential to support some pretty good scraper clusters, its scary.
