I actually think it takes more time to type that way. Sure the words are shorter but by the time you think up of creative ways to write a few words you could have already written a full paragraph normally

So Kiyv might be the Manhattan of east Europe? It is hard to believe it has a chance to get built, especially the nice looking 300-400m tall tower.

what are you talking about? investors dont occupy buildings! they built buildings for potential tenants. there is no one in the world, that would need 2million sqm of office space. there is no demand for this space and no company in the ukraine, that would be able to fill the space. having an investor doesnt mean there is also someone who would occupy the buildings.

909: how can a city with a small demand and a total of 300,000 sqm built a project of several million sqm? gosh, it seems some poeple here dont know anything about economics! kiev is not shanghai or kuala lumpur....

and only because there are preparation works for one or two buildings it doesn't mean the entire project gets build.

Kiyv is one of the biggest cities in Europe (2,5 million inhabitants) and a dynamic capital of a 50 million country. If there is lack of office space in the city, it means that a new business district is needed.
And if they already have investors it can mean that the dream may come true sooner, than we think.

It reminds me scepticism I witnessed, when a few years ago the first rumours about Moscow business district were spread around.
Today the buildings are u/c.

I like the renders of future Kyiv skyline a lot. If all of those scrapers get built, Kyiv will have a very characteristic skyline, dense, on an island. Something very recognizable that you can see on the photo and say: yeah, I've seen it somewhere before. It must be Kiyv.

People always forget that Eastern European countries are booming. Especially the economy in Ukraine is one of the fastest growing in Europe.

Hey all.

There have been several releases and I can finally clear some things up.

Approximate construction time is 10-12 years, as experts predict. The date of 2020 is constantly mentioned because that's a year that Kyiv has general-planning done up to. There's general planning done for every 15 years, which includes entire developments such as for instance two new metro/subway lines, and among it Kyiv-City. But this is not a project that can really have clear "finished" date. Because it will continue growing after the initial parts are done.

First stage is probably the most difficult. The "island" is full of old storages and factories that need to be relocated. Costs for relocation will go up to $800mil. Then the island will be practically rebuilt. Top 15 meters are to be artificial ground, with four levels for communications, subways, transportation and the top part will simulate natural Kyivan reliefs, such as hills and grass. This is all very new for Ukraine and probably EE in general. I assume it will take about 2 years to only get the island ready, so the construction of skyscrapers can begin.

First approval that is currently pending, is on transportation networks for the island ( its not really an island but a peninsula ). Which may be approved this month.

Hey Stanislav, do you maybe have some sort of real photo where this island is clearly shown? Hopefully an aerial one?

Hi Mark, you can see by the existing bridge visible on the renderings where it is. It's quite big and has plenty of space to expand to.
