The New York International Finance Center, of course!

Seriously, the LBT looks marvelous. Good going, London!

Bull. Grollo tower and Lbt are actually different shapes, and although the cladding is similair lets face it grollo is shit compared to LBT's mightiness!

According to the architect Renzo Piano, LBT was designed to resemble "an old church spire, or the mast of a tall ship disappearing into the sky".

I don't think it's copying Grollo.

And LBT is certainly the better tower... its top is less contrived, and the overall design is more suited to London's character.

Proposed/approved...

Even if this did include under construction towers, i dont think Burj deserved to win.

It's tall, and has an above average design, but it is not the best.

If Burj was 1/2 the size, there would be no hype.

And remember, it wont be the tallest forever. I'd give it a decade at the most before it is topped. Tokyo has projects that dwarf it, they are of course only visions at the moment, but there are so many that one has to be built eventually.

OOHHHH 500 posts!

No way...

The new version is an improvement on the previous design - but it's still a very average piece of architecture.

London Bridge Tower, Burj Dubai, Union Square 7 and the Shanghai World Financial Center are all far classier and sexier designs.

i seriously dont think that suits NYC. my view is that NYC is old and has a older character. NYC in my opinion doesn't suit new, sleek, modern towers, but i guess you gotta start somewhere
