The Chrysler wins this one without a problem. Bank of China is a really goosd building too, just that the aerials kill it.

I like the BOC tower, but the Chrysler Building is my favorite building. No doubts which one I like more.

The Bank of China Tower was the skyscraper that first got me interested in skyscrapers and I love it, although I also very much like the Chrysler building.

Bank of China defines the skyscraper of the modern age and is a "Modern" classic Chrysler on the other hand defines the skyscraper of the "Art Deco" period.

For me, it has to be Chrysler...(SURPRISE!! SURPRISE!!)

BOC is indeed impressive, with that shiny-shiney facade, triangles, and contrasting white trim, BUT...

Chrysler is simply the most joyous scraper yet built (as I've said before) - that wonderful, rocketing spire, by day or night, makes her look like she's about to dance right off the sidewalk (as I've also said before - think I need to round up a few new adjectives here, maybe? ) But still, even though I'm at a loss for words...Chrysler!

PS - If Chrysler's base is a wee bit boxy, the same might perhaps be said of BOC??

OMG.... Chrysler building by a country mile.
Perhaps my favourite highrise of all time.

The Chrysler should come out on top in this poll, although this thread could use a few more views and votes.

Chrysler was just as good for its time as BOC was for its time, but BOC is so innovative. There's something about it for me that I can't explain. When I look at it, it's mezmerizing almost. One of the top 5 in the world easily.

Correct. It doesn't make Bank of China any less impressive, but it could make the Chrysler more impressive. There are very few buildings designed and constructed even in the 90s and 2000s that any given majority of skyscraper lovers will agree that looks better than Chrysler Building (in their heart of hearts, of course). As a matter of fact, I compared Bank of China to it because I really don't think any other modern or post-modern structure stands much of a chance when it comes to being so original, innovative and gorgeous. And its still losing. The Bank of China is one that is, and will become a legendary skyscraper.

I choose BoCHK simply because I prefer modern architecture.

To me, the Chrysler Building represents the greatest skyscraper North America has ever or will ever produce. However, the Bank of China could very well mean the same for Asian skyscrapers. I love New York and the Chrysler Building, but the BoC is my favorite skyscraper of all-time.

The kinda consider The Empire State Building greater than The Chrysler. It's because of the height and position. Now, if the Chrysler has the height and was built where The Empire State Building is at, I think it will gain more recognition!

On the other hand, I prefer The Bank Of China over the Chrysler. Any skyscraper can imitate The Empire State or Chrysler but there is no other building on earth that is similar to The BoC!

If you're gonna talk about extraordinary skyscrapers, The Bank Of China best fit this category!
