i am so happy to see this project materialize... it was on hold for over 3 years as per the architect (from the UK)... The concept is really modern leisure urbanism

Great plan to attract tourists but I hope that they don't make it a beach where people come for a tan. That is just un-Islamic.

Well, if you look closely, this is a park too. Most theme parks have smaller parks (green parks) outside for added beauty.

a park is being made, your right, but read closly, it is part of the scheme.

The Lady Lloyd Pier, a famous landmark, is to be refurbished and extended as part of the KARACHI BEACH scheme.

the beach park

what do you mean? anyway...do they want 3 million visitors in the first year? and do you think this will attract the same amount of people as murree? btw...a bit off topic...but these kind of projects should alos be advertised in neighbouring regions with no visa required.
iran - there is a huge middle class, and karachi isnt too close, yet isnt too far either. it would appeal to them because it is a bit more relaxed, yet they can still feel at home.
afghanistan - yes afghanistan! there is a considerable number of people here with new found wealth, aswell as the usual politicians and business men. it is obviously a good idea to tell them to spend theor bucks here.
india - believe it or not, the tourist numbers from india are on the rise, but theyre mostly concentrated on punjab, and also for religious reasons. we need to get them away from this trend.
just my 2 cents.
