Great stuff

Anyway, when are they going to start building these sections? Once these start it should stop people saying it's so thin!

What's wrong with thinness? It will make the tower look even taller.

Look at the bigger-than-normal square opennings on both sides of the center tower. They are right below the yellow worker platforms. It looks like it might be the early stages of the 1st maintenance floor levels we see in the renders.

Or is it?

Until the first setback. At least that's what the renders show.

Okay so your saying that it won't be just as high as the podium but it be the side towers instead??, Cause that's what i'm thinking its strange how they haven't built the side towers along with it, because that's what they appear to me atleast.

I think they'd be about in between 20 and 30 storeys from what i gathered, depending on each individul wing, looking at the renderings.

It has to be, unless the design has been completely changed. If it was any different then burj dubai won't look anything like the renders.

There was a big discussion about this at the start of this thread

This is what was on the doka website before:

This is what's there now:

I'm starting to think this could get a redesign with those parts cut off
If that happens it'll look shite and will be off my favourite towers list, the same way as SWFC is gone. Let's hope not though.

Those parts (the so called noses) are not parts of the main suporting structure of the building, that DOKA is helping build, so logically the diagrams on their website, will not show them.

you mean the corners, oh come on

those are not marked there because that structure is not part of climbing formwork.

BTW, the first 3D diagram, with the cranes on top, was not from DOKA website but was rather made by DAZZ.
