With the concrete part being 525metres (forgot the exact statistic) and 150 or so floors the steel part is going to be 300 metres tall if the "as good as confirmed height" of at least 800 metres is accurate. 300metres of steel skyscraper would be impressive on it's own - that's the height of the Burj Al Arab hotel or any of the other 70-80 storey skyscrapers - and that's sitting on what will be a thin concrete footprint!! After all the concrete part will have had at least 3 setbacks by then on each of the 3 spurs!

Well, I heard it could break 2000m. Once they heard Nakheel would push Al Burj up to a mile high they decided to completely change the design. The current structure already built will be demolished and construction will restart from scratch!
