I think a Tour Polycentrique could be cool too, I don't have real preference.

I just hope it won't be a boxy trash.

Yesterday bernard Bled said on a radio that he expects the architecture bid to start in 2006 and the construction of the tower in 2010.

Nah, it's too tall for France, nothing ever happens there.

Well, I think this is great news for Paris. I am excited to see some renders and to see this built, I have always liked LD's skyline and this will make it look even better.

French financial newspaper Les Echos reports that one or two 400m tall skyscrapers may be built in La Défense by 2020. (28 December 2005)

Paris doesn't need a tall building. It gets it's class from the old architecture not the new one.

But it's bad for a city to have ONLY old architecture. If it does then it becomes an antique town that's made for tourists to take pictures of

They must be wrong, 1 tower is already hardly believable, so 2 .

good things come to those who wait!

perhaps this wait, will yield a "Tour sans Fin" tower very simular to the proposal we are seeing in this thread. I hope they build it to the maximum height that they originally envisioned and put an obs deck at the very top!!

I would love to see this tower PLUS Tour Sans Fin to be built, then the skyline of La Defense would be awesome with 2 peaks in the middle!

We are likely to get further news of this project as the MIPIM 2006 convention will be held 14-17 March 2006 (next week).

Some renders and models will be unveiled next week but a montage has just been released on La Défense official website.
