Virtual, where did you get these new renders?
The skyline will look magnificient if they all get built.
As for Axa, I'm not too sure, this new top is some new for LD to have something looking like a spire. Is that the project by KPF?
And to tmac14wr, it does look a lot like the Bishopgate tower in London

It reminds me more of Dexia in brussels, but there's some similatirites with Difa, especially the spire.
Right now, AXA is about 160m tall, and after that, it will be probably at least 220m tall, and I'm even tempted to say 250m+, cause on some renderings it looks really tall.

Compare :

Now if you consider that there's a 20 meters difference between Axa and Gan...let's just say the new AXA could be tall....

Hope wont be any weired looking structures from Jean Nouvel. Something more "Ordinary" I'm asking for perhaps.

VIRTUAL where exactly does those renderings come from, i saw the same posted by cezar on the Epad-official site forum, and i need to know if they are from Epad officially or if it's just someone's dream ! because all those lookalike towers , if we only talk about their location, are not much serious...

did u get those from EPAD ? please post a link

Weird but those renders match with the one released by EPAD a few days ago on their website (those blue-ish ghostly towers and AXA tower does look like the renders provided above imo). So we can be positive.

The recipe is one part glow light sticks, and two fog machine canisters. Add a pinch of artistic nothingness, and hey presto, the buildings are there!

Seriously though, I believe we are about to find out more substanciated information by mid week.

The tower to the right (the 400m tall one) would be very impressive :

Wow!! I just love La Defence, and this is going to make it even better! Every time I go to Paris LD is a must-see for me. Can't wait to see some proposals for the 400+

This very morning, the administrator of EPAD website forums did not deny the authenticity of those renders. He simply added that we would have a full survey of the projects + a VIDEO pretty soon on their website. So great expectation we can have!

Were there not already in the past several such plans for La Defense? At first they wanted to built in 1960 there a 750 metre tall TV tower and than in the eighties a 420 metre tall skyscraper?
An other thing must be considered: can the investors hire all offices of the building? In Germany there are many offices in several new office buildings empty!

No there wasn't such plans for La Défense in the past, well, the only serious one was the 420m tour sans fins which was cancelled at the last second because of the bad economy in the early 90's.
And these buildings won't be empty, the vacancy rate in LD is around 7%, and basically all new buildings are occupied pretty fast.

Which is 40% above a healthy situation, it's just how you look opon such numbers. Still, it are great plans and compared to other area's and city's I believe they make a good chance!

"40%" makes it look like LD is about to collapse
It's 2 points above a healthy situation, but it's still not that bad , and better than many other european cities. And the problem in LD is some outdated and inadapted buildings , more than an excess of new constructions.
