I think this is a really nice building, despite having no impact whatsoever on mancs skyline. SImple lines, clean facade. 8/10

It looks more like an 80's building than 1959. 8/10. Pretty sleek for it's day.

I used to work in the DWP annex, the bit you can see on the bottom pic, used to hate the building as an example of 50s crap, but now consider it quite classy! 7/10

A nice example of a 1959 tower. The white limestone effect cladding goes well the black reflective windows. It once dominated its immediate surroundings but is now dwarfed by stuff going up at neighbouring spinningfeilds ....8/10

One of a number of decent towers built around that time in the UK. This is the way modernism should have been - such a shame that architects let their standards drop a few years later. 8/10

Its a pretty good tower. It desperately needs cleaning though. Especially with Leftbank and CJC just over the road. 7/10

I like it!

Seems strange to think that was once the tallest building though..

This building has NO redeeming value whatsoever. It's another dispicable block of shit that I wouldn't even notice was missing if it was gone. Dirty horrible blot on the landscape.

1/10

The building is fine, the urban design around it is shocking. It completely cuts the city off from the river for the sake of a tiny carpark.

my thoughts exactly. the river side is a shocking mess, with huge unkempt bushes and trees. it's one of those 60s buildings where they thought it was amazing to build a tower that had all the parking space one could ever want.
