Legend Imre, thx for the pics.

Would be good to have someone in the soiltesting industry to tell us his opinion on the depth

It is in the pipeline, no problem.

The questions of scaled down etc... end no coming tower is nonsens. The tower will come, maybe no 1600 or 1200 meters but the tower will be built!

Redesigning or not, one day it will rise and taller than Burj Dubai!

Indication about that location were known for a few weeks, that's why Imre visited the area and confirmed.

Let's see if they will keep it there or asked by Nakheel to remove.

Why they changed the location?

The plot is far inland? Its not a quite ideal place (powerplant en ugly apparments nearby) it is strange location.

Of course this only tells us the depth of this particular bore hole, which as far as I can tell is the 203rd.

Only one, and that's not just a power plant: That's a 10 km long complex comprising of power plant, seawater dessalination plant, Aluminium swelter and drinkinng water bottling plant.

There are plans to relocate them but they are spending a few Billions dollars to upgrade and expand what's there already.

Give it a couple of decades and Dubai will turn the earth into a giant lollypop
I'm sorry but I don't like it 2much concrete and well quite unappealing if u don't count the height

The building has undergone a total redesign. Someone who has seen it said it is much much better and the architets designed it "out of the box".

It's going to take years for this building to reach full occupancy. You think Sears and the Empire state took a long time... Regardless, I'm stoked to hear that they are doing soil testing for this mamoth!

Ah c'mon .. once a classy world renowned building starts rising there, the area will be spruced up nicely, i'm sure of it
