please buildmilehightower, stop posting all of these old pictures and renders, by looking back a few pages in this thread you would have been able to find out all about these renders, why can't we stay on-topic an just discuss about NEWS?

Which is why it's being redesigned. Hopefully we get to see something cool proposed here pretty soon, the designers have a great opportunity on their hands, that's for sure.

thanks malec.understand. hopefully something more concrete soon.
i think the tower will be same floor plate tower and reduces as it rises until tall spire structure. wont be as massive as you think it would be. maybe size of Burj Dubai but more bulk in centre.

The floorplate is based on 2 or 3 appart core's.

The strength of the building comes from conjugation. 2 - 3 appart core's have much more capacitance against gusts(strong winds), aurthquakes etc... therefore is stiffness needed. Its reduces the sway of the building end wobble, to make the building livable.

End above the diffirent tubes (core) the are reasembled with bridges in height. They link the appart tubes together, you can see it like a brush.

The tubes or wires of the brush are like volumes(tubes) of the building. The red en bleu wires are the horizontal bridges in the height of the building, it that way we have achieved stifness.

Other examples of "The red en bleu wires and vertical tubes".

Its important to understand that a height of 1400m really is possible. Becausse of the special constuction concept of the "Tall Tower". The design is likely of that of the sears. But the only diffirence is that the tubes are separated from each other. That to reduce the impact on the tower(object), so the wind can through the building.

But then in vertical way like the the "Tall tower" principle.

I hope you appreciate my technical explanation, to have more vision of tall buildings.

It is a very ugly design. Lets hope the re-design is far better. But why in the world do we need buildings 1000+? It's juts one major wankfest.

Sticking to facts:

-there isn't a official design yet
-there isn't any proof about the real height

-the only thing we know is that something of some 1000m we'll be built in Dubai.

Right?

Everybody lets wait until the new renders come out which I imagine will be soon, then start moaning again. And I won't post anymore of those old renders.

Nakheel has reported they're FINALISING their plans for the tower which is great news for the fans. So we should be able to find out lot about the new tower in maximum month time. (hopefully)

Anyway, I reckon we would, and I said hopefully which means I'm not 100% sure.

I liked the first render,
the volume of concrete would be many times more than the Burj Dubai.
The old design was no good , because of the height, the tower must taper
toward the top. The 3 tower connected design would not sway with the wind.
